This volume is the inside of a person: four chapters built on the 心 radical alone, because Japanese keeps apart the sorrows, the kindnesses and the failures of nerve that English flattens into one word each. Every character gets a spread of its own, laid out the same way every time.
Readings you can hear. Every on'yomi and kun'yomi with its own example words, because a reading you cannot hear in a real word is not yet knowledge.
